Peery’s Egyptian Theater is a historic 800-seat, multi-use theatrical venue located in the heart of downtown Ogden. Originally built in 1924 by Harmon and Lewis Peery as a grand movie palace, the theater later fell into disrepair and narrowly escaped demolition in the 1980s.
Meticulously restored to its original elegance and enhanced with a full theatrical stage and dressing rooms the theater reopened in 1997 as part of the Ogden Eccles Conference Center. Today, Peery’s Egyptian Theater stands as a cultural landmark and one of only three remaining Egyptian-style movie palace theaters in the Northwest United States, offering a unique blend of history, architecture, and live performance.
